I'm 53 and a Lab Tech at a hospital. I also am a singer/guitarist/songwriter and performed for many years. I drifted away from performing as my kids grew, but am back into recording and writing again. I love great music and talent. Nick was one of the best ever, but Joni will always be #1 on my list.

I'm a bum, with an Honours degree in Bummery, minor in alcoholism.
I've applied for a current local opening as a `village idiot' but there are so many experienced idiots that I dar'nt stand a chance.

With luck though I may soon be able to be an apprentice idiot.

One can only hope.

I'm a medical transcriptionist - I work from home which means I'm not at the mercy of anyone else's music. Bonus!

I run my own business called Yourplay Music, providing a friendly environment for people with disabilities to express themselves musically through original songwriting, which we record and put to disc. Its hugely rewarding and lots of fun. I'm married with two kids, who are 9 and 7 yrs old (boy/girl respectively). I also do this https://soundcloud.com/paulstokesmusic/web-of-lies

and I am in the process of getting my band The Strawmen off the ground (acoustic trio consisting of me on 6 string git, Dan on 12 String, and Rum bugger on Bazouki and anything else he can get his hands on.)

Was very much inspired by Nick Drake when younger, Time has told me, being easily one of my favourites. Feel free to have a listen to my stuff on soundcloud. Take care all, Stokesy. Very Happy

College text books, a few children's books that are out of print.

Go to Belted Cow.com if you are interested in some of my work (Pirate Flags, Tug of Dog, History of Streaking, Woody (car) with Christmas tree on top, are a few of my designs).

Not a plug really, you asked.... Wink

Fairport bassist Dave Pegg worked in an insurance office for a year when he left school then quit to become a pro musician - Peggy is 66 now and that's the only "real" (ie. working 'for the man') job he's ever had - RESULT!!

This is a great achievement - like our friend Lemonade Kid - getting paid to do what you love doing..!
