|
|
At long last, my brand new CD, "Five Leaves Left: A Tribute To Nick Drake", is available! My band, the Jason Parker Quartet, remade Nick's debut album song for song in our own style, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Everyone involved put their heart and soul into it, which I think you'll hear when you listen to the music.
You can stream the whole thing and if you like it pay what you think it's worth on my website:
Five Leaves Left: A Tribute To Nick Drake
Please take a listen and let me know what you think!
Cheers,

Jason is working on the physical CD right now. Here's the email he sent out:
| Quote: | At long last, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that the physical CDs are being pressed right this minute! I placed the order this afternoon and should have the finished product in about 2 weeks. It was a long haul, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding.
In the end, I'm really happy with the design. My friend Nate Omdal, who has done the design on 3 out of the 4 JPQ's, has done another bang-up job.
(...)
Thank you once again for your support and patience. I couldn't be happier with how the CD turned out and hope you dig it.
Cheers,
Jason |

No, the album was ready a few months ago and those who ordered the download-version have been able to listen to it already. Due to personal circumstances Jason hadn't much time left to work on the physical album though, but it seems he's managed it recently. |

It took a while, but the CD has finally been sent out. I got mine today. Wonderful interpretations, sometimes laid back, sometimes more on the jazz-side of things. And for those who only have the download-version: the cover-artwork is beautiful |

| OT: Jason is mentioned/interviewed in the report "The Sky Is Rising" from Mike Masnick about the internet versus music/entertainment-industry. See page 27. Funny thing was that Mike was interviewed for a Dutch paper in which Jason Parker was mentioned. |
