I guess that depends... Personally I think I prefer Pink Moon, because of it's straightforward honesty. But others claim it's Bryter Layter, cos it's more intsrumentally focused. And then others claim it's Five Leaves Left, because of it's fresh start and good songs. Now if you are interested in a good sampler cd, I'd vote for The Hannibal Sampler, personally I like that combination of songs better than on Way To Blue. If you want to get of to a good start with having many songs, I'd say first get The Hannibal Sampler and with that Pink Moon, you may have some songs double then, but some songs on Pink Moon are not to be missed...
