I've seen posters and adverts for an event in San Francisco on 22 January 2012. A selection of different bands aim to play all the tracks from Pink Moon. It looks like it may be being broadcast or recorded by KALX.
Here's the website. Anybody know any more than this? |

A college-aged friend of the family from the San Francisco area visited us recently and I asked but he knew nothing about UnderCover Presents. Not that he necessarily would have.
It's curious though. The 60s-70s were so long ago and places like Cambridge are so relatively far away. With Nick Drake himself seemingly so insular apparently not having had much in common with anybody. Yet his music is being played in San Francisco in 2012.
What can one say?
Have you been to San Francisco Peter?
Looks like the word is "Don't miss The Hemp Show at Oakland Convention Center April 27 28 29". Period psychedelic colors and all.

I saw an ad for this the very day after the gig. If I'd have known, I'd have tried to convince some friends in the area to do recon for us.
I'm new enough to Drake that I'm not quite ready for other artists' interpretations, but that's just me.
