Is there any truth that Nick ever used heroin in his lifetime?
I think Trevor Dann speculates in his book but without absolute proof how can he claim this?
I've read Joe Boyd and Nick used to know an East End villain and drug dealer named 'Dave' and it was around this time that,Dann suggests,Nick started experimenting with heroin.How does Dann know this is true?Who told him?
John Cale moved in with Nick to work on the Bryter Layter sessions with Nick and that Cale was using heroin around this time.
I'm not so sure Nick took it himself.he was well known for smoking huge quantities of cannabis but heroin?Without 100% proof how can Dann state this?Surely this would be slandering Nick's name?
Brian Wells has said that Nick was showing an interest in the drug but who really knows?

think the late Scott Appel thought heroine killed him and thats why the family wanted a cremation

Noone really knows much about the guy. Was his last letter to Sophia Ryde a suicide note? who can say

I think jeremy Mason thinks Nick took LSD in Aix.
Clothes of Sand is rumoured to have been influenced by LSD.
Silver spoons and coloured lights.To see the Earth through painted eyes.
But I guess nobody knows for sure about the heroin connection.
that's a good point about the cremation,I'd forgotten about this.
The Drakes, apparrently,wanted to keep nick's drug use away from people.Didn't Nick only have a very quick examination by the coroner before his body went to cremation?
Cover-up?

Read Scott Appel's posts from the old site. They're here somewhere. The rest (and including the posts really) are speculation. Alot of people at the time experimented with anything and everthing, it's not beyond the realms etc etc.....

I don't know if there is even enough evidence for speculation !

If he was on heroin certain people would have known, but there is no evidence.

I don't think it matters, honestly. Like LostBoy says, it was hardly unusual behavior and I think I'd be more surprised to learn he hadn't than that he had.
