Hi all.

I got a bit of info through from Cally today about proposed vinyl re-issues of Nick's albums. The text below is taken from a response to a fan who emailed asking about vinyl and also whether A Skin Too Few would be made available to buy.

"I'm glad to say that we do have plans to release the three albums on vinyl again soon, perhaps later this year. The plethora of bootleg vinyl (all the current poorly pressed items for sale are mastered from the old CD and are unofficial) and the fact that Family Tree is now so long out of print, caused us to review the situation, but we feel that the new editions have to be of the very highest quality we can make, meaning totally remastering the vinyl from their original analogue source (tapes that are now pretty damaged and need a lot of work) and packaging them in a way that adds something extra over the previous legal and illegal issues. This is taking some time to do.

'A Skin Too Few' is a more complicated matter as so many other people are involved, it being an independent film, but we would like it to be seen in environments nicer than YouTube. It may take some time to work this one out though. For now it continues to be screened on request, this weekend, even, in a field in Tanworth In Arden at a folk festival that is being held there!

Gosh! Family Tree is out of print? that came out rather recently didn't it?

I can understand the recent Fruit Tree box set being out of print (apparently the vinyl release tended to have fingerprints on it!)

but I had thought Family Tree had sold well

Certainly Made to Love Magic was a strong seller and even had the odd single

Is that a mistake, should Family Tree (being out of print) read Fruit Tree ??

I think it refers to the Family Tree vinyl being out of print (but I could be wrong)
