This is a great site. I just discovered Nick Drake recently. Actually, that Volkswagon commercial with the song Pink Moon is what got me searching. "Who the heck sings that song? Was it just made for the commercial?" A quick search of the web led me to Nick Drake. So I downloaded and listened to Pink Moon - a bunch!
So about 2 months ago I decided to pick up a Nick Drake CD - I grabbed Way To Blue. I'm hooked. I got paid today and plan on going out and buying every Nick Drake CD out there. This is great music, and I am ashamed that I didn't come across it sooner (as a self-proclaimed 'music fan', I have no excuse).
As a wannabe guitarist, I would love to be able to play this stuff, but Drake's strange tunings and incredible ability makes it difficult.
Another strange thing- Nick Drake died on November 25, 1974. That is the day I was born. Eerie....
